Website updates:

Eagle eyed visitors will have noticed that my site is now, at last "mobile friendly".
It is something of a challenge making an image based website work on anything from an 8k monitor to a smart watch, but now having now done this work, which involved a lot of changes under the hood, it should allow me to add to, and update the site more easily. I will similarly be updating "Northern Landscape" to a new design.

Since I first started selling through Redbubble, the number of different items they offer has increased immensely.
Originally, in addition to wall art and greeting cards, I think the only other items were T-shirts. The range on offer now is incredible. I will be adding to my items for sale, to include things like notebooks, journals, mugs, and more.

I was very pleased to have 2 images included in "The Photographers Guide to the Lake District", a new book by Ellen Bowness. (Long Valley Books).
As a photographer, one of the questions I get asked a lot through the web site is "Where are the best photo locations in the Lake District"? This pocket sized book answers that very well, featuring many of the most iconic locations, including maps, and other useful information such as the best time to shoot etc.

Winskill Stones image featured in "Plantlife":

One of my landscape photos of the Winskill Stones, one of my favourite Yorkshire Dales locations, was reproduced full page in the winter issue of Plantlife, the magazine of the charity of the same name which "speaks up for the nation's wild plants".

It's always nice to see your work in print, but it was interesting to read the article too.

Plantlife actually bought the Winskill Stones site in 1997 to prevent the limestone pavement being plundered. I hadn't actually realised that this destruction was actually sanctioned by planning permission granted in 1951!

What were my forebears thinking, that it would be a cool thing to do to rip up the limestone pavement to use as garden features, walls, etc?

Greeting cards are still available from my Zazzle, and Redbubble stores, but I have now added a 3rd option, Greeting Card Universe.
While Redbubble cards are always blank inside, Zazzle and Greeting Card Universe cards may be personalised with your own message inside. Unlike Zazzle cards however, which are shipped from the US, Greeting Card Universe cards are printed in both the US and UK.
Whichever option you choose, generous volume discounts are available.

Which Gallery to use?

"Cumbria Life" cover photo and feature:

I was pleased to be approached in June to supply a selection of images for the July issue of "Cumbria Life" magazine for their portfolio feature.
The result was a 4 page spread of some of my favourite Lake District and Yorkshire Dales photographs plus an interview.
I was also pleased that they chose one of my images for the cover of the same issue.
